Scientists have made an incredible discovery of a giant deposit of a new vital precious metal in the center of Destinarc. One ounce of this material can power a huge city for decades. The discovery is lying close enough to the surface to be mined, but too far down to be found using current exploration methods so it takes 8 different types of mining and metal experts to work together to mine it. A contract will be awarded to the first company that can form a squad of these 8 experts and arrive together at the mine.
Travelus: Excavate is not the usual roll and move game. It is a strategic competitive racing game with numerous paths to victory. In a whimsical world, your mission as the leader of your company is to form your squad and beat all the other squads around the world to the new discovered mine. Your job is to connect 8 members across 8 Domains together to form a squad. Once they are connected, you must navigate through many unpredictable obstacles and be the first to land in the center of Destinarc before the other squads to win the contract to mine the newly discovered precious metal. Erratic events could ruin a perfect plan at any time. Each turn you will face a choice, and every decision has its own risk or reward. There are many ways of stopping the other teams and you must do whatever it takes to win this contract.
Travelus: Excavate and Travelus: Connect are two games in a series. They are in a flexible and unique modular game design that makes playing numerous games with a set of shared components
