2 weeks after Soviet and East German forces crossed the inner-German border, they have made considerable progress but are being hampered by NATO naval and air support from the Baltic Sea. Soviet leadership has determined the only way to remove the threat is to close the Baltic to NATO by capturing southern Sweden.

Soviet forces, supported by Polish Airborne and Marine troops, have landed in two areas: The small southern city of Simrishamn, and the port of Norrköping. The landing at Norrköping has cut off support from the Stockholm area, while the landing at Simrishamn aims to move west and capture the port of Ystad, and eventually, Malmo.

Do not expect help from NATO. Their forces are fully engaged in Germany and have a limited ability to come to our aid. We must push the Soviets back into the sea before they can land even more troops and overwhelm our defenses. If we can drive them off and keep the Baltic open, NATO can eventually cut off resupply and put an end to this invasion.

Expansion #1: Simrishamn takes the conflict to Sweden.

The player is tasked with pushing back the Soviet-Polish landings using unique Swedish units like the Strv 103 and Pbv 302 while facing off against new Polish units including the OT-64, TOPAS, and PT-76. Expect to find yourself on the offensive more, and without a true top-tier tank like the Leopard 2 or M1.
