A compelling mix of chaos, strategy, and convenient alliances. Switchboard is provides a new twist on pawn race games by adding the chaotic and strategic mechanic of the ability to switch board components and send any pawns on the components with them. Action cards in the deck allow players the opportunity to move every component of the modular board to offensively further their game or defensively thwart an opponents plans.
The new mechanics allow players to always be looking over their shoulder as no pawn is ever safe. No longer are you stuck trying to run an opponent down to stop them from winning. Now players can plan ahead and crush opponent's well played plans at the last moment. Players can band together to stop one player and turn on each other the next minute.
Another feature is that games can be played in a team format where players can use their actions card to not only help themselves and hut their opponents but also assist teammates in strategic ways to advance the whole team towards victory.
Players that bring the chaos make sure no strategy can be held too long. The game of Switchboard is as complex as you want it to be but as simple as you need it to be.
