In Spyre, you are an urban developer, building a modular city to bring honor to your country and glory to the investors who fund your construction. Together, players will build the city of Spyre higher and more opulent, but only one will come away with the glory.

Each turn, players build a 3D block from tiles that will become a segment of a building. Then, in turn, each player places their block on the board, either at the base or on top of a previously placed block. After each block is placed, players adjust personal trackers based on symbols that are visible to them on the just-placed block. As the city gets higher and more crowded, and players add decoration to the top of skyscrapers, the view from each side changes. In the end, players score based on the view of their side of the city and the position of their trackers, as well as how well they've represented their preferred investor.
