Relics of the Arcane társasjáték

Angol leírás

Relics of the Arcane is a strategic fantasy trick-taking game for four players. As Arcanists competing in a Ritual, players put Mana at stake across a series of rounds. The game declared each round determines the objective and whether players compete in a two-versus-two partnership, one against three, or every player for themselves.

Before card play, players assess their cards and make declarations during the Manifestation. More ambitious games offer greater potential Mana rewards and greater risk. Some games create hidden partnerships: in the Novice Game's Relic Call, the player holding a called Relic becomes the Vanguard's secret partner. That player knows how the sides are formed, while the Vanguard initially does not know who their partner is. Card play and permitted declarations can reveal the partnership.

Players play one card each to a trick, following the requirements of the chosen game. The round objective determines which tricks and card points matter. After the round, players settle Mana according to the game result, Tributes and any applicable Counters. Mana carries over between rounds. Once at least one player has no Mana remaining after complete round scoring, the game ends; the player with the most remaining Mana wins, with tied players sharing victory.

The box includes the Novice Game and the Master Game. The Novice Game uses a 40-card deck and introduces the core system as a complete game. The Master Game uses all 54 cards and adds the Shrine, Archmage Call and a wider range of games and objectives.
