In PUBG: FINAL CIRCLE, 2-5 players take the roles of contenders fighting to be the last survivor in a fast card-game adaptation of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. Each player begins with a contender and starter cards, then draws loot cards representing weapons, medical items, and other equipment. The game remains on one map, while each phase moves the contenders to a different town or named location within it.

Over a series of rounds, players enter card-driven combats, using weapon values, colors, and abilities to win clashes and deal damage. Contender abilities and effects such as Ambush can change the outcome of a combat, while the current location changes the conditions of each battleground. A player who loses all health is eliminated, and the last surviving player wins.
