Rebel against the Kings!

Score the most points by rallying as many people as possible and - while you're at it - toppling all the Kings (and Queens). These are the most powerful cards in the game, yet they bring you minus points if they end up in your own stash.

If a rebellion is instigated, the tables turn and the hierarchy is flipped upside down. Power shifts to the people, and the previously weakest cards become the strongest.

But beware! Any rebellion can be crushed just as quickly!

Find accomplices within the Royals, be surprised by the Shapeshifters, and try to outsmart the Thieves.

NO KINGS is a charming trick-taking game with adjustable chaos for all kinds of players.

NO KINGS is based on a standard deck of cards and adds three new characters as well as special powers to all face cards.

In the beginning - when the Kings are in power - the game is played as a regular trick-taking game with the highest-ranked cards winning the tricks. In order to get rid of the Kings (and Queens) and to avoid those minus points coming along with them, players have to flip the hierarchy by inciting a rebellion. The Power then shifts to the People and the lowest-ranked cards are now winning the tricks. But the Kings (and Queens) are not powerless and when played immediately overthrow any rebellion that is not protected.
Players might have to cooperate in order to protect a rebellion and to be able to topple the Kings and Queens in their hands or - when even a good strategy doesn't work - may choose to surrender to fate, favors and fortune.
Each path may lead to a win.
