Meridians is an abstract strategy game for 2 players. It has a territorial nature, but the goal is to annihilate opponent's stones.

"Meridians" is named after the meridians system.

DEFINITIONS
“Group” means like color stones adjacent each other on the board. Singletons are also considered as groups of size 1.
“Path” means an empty point or an uninterrupted straight line of empty points that have a pair of like color stones on both ends, and the pair is not parts of same group.
“Dead group” means a group that no stone belonging to it has path.

GAME PLAY (Overview)
On each first turn, players place a stone of their color on any empty point.
Next, players place a stone of their color so that their two stones have a path.

Then players alternate turns taking 2 actions below.
1.Remove all opponent’s dead groups
2.Place a stone of their color on an empty point that is on a same straight line with an existing friendly stone, and no opponent's stone in between.

Pass is not allowed.
The one who has no stones of their color on the board at the beginning of their turn loses.
