Meet Maudlin, the Witch of Papplewick, a lonely hedge-witch who is only technically misunderstood and absolutely not up to anything sinister. Unless you ask the Sheriff. Or the Bishop. Or literally anyone who’s ever seen her cats glow.
Maudlin arrives with her own followers:
• 4 Cats, who look adorable until they spook entire villages.
• 3 Spectres, who politely remind everyone that the afterlife is accepting applications.
• A bag of Cursed Talers, because normal gold is far too mundane.
• And, of course, the shifting, shimmering Moon Phase Board, which decides exactly how strange things get this round.
