Fantasy Civ Solo: Discovery and Doom is a print and play solo civilization style game where you’ll explore fantasy landscape full of monsters, discover wonders hidden in the wilds, expand your civilization across the land, and seek to keep your lands safe by exterminating your foes.

Gameplay takes place in three phases: the Civilization Turn, the Map Turn, and the Doom Turn.

On the Civilization Turn, you'll take control of your civilization by performing actions of your choice, including collecting resources like gold (or other resources found on the map), train and move military units, attack enemies (by rolling dice to deal damage, and using special abilities), buy upgrades for your civilization, and exploring hexes. Exploration takes place by rolling both a discovery die (to determine what is found on the hex you explore), and a monster die (to determine if a monster is found at that hex).

On the Map Turn, monsters will move and attack, and other events may occur.

On the Doom Turn, the Doom Clock will increase by one, and then you'll make a Doom Roll. If the Doom Roll is equal to or less than the Doom Clock, then your civilization's doom has arrived! You'll roll for a random doom and follow the instructions on how it moves, attacks, and threatens your civilization.

Gameplay follows this turn sequence - civilization turn, map turn, doom turn - until your civilization achieves its aspiration and you win the game, or all of your cities fall and you lose the game.

By the end of a game of Fantasy Civ Solo, you will have written the story of the rise – and possibly fall – of your civilization!
