You are attending a family style potluck dinner. Everyone will bring a dish to dinner, selected by your family members. Work to make an amazing meal and bring the perfect amount of food for the exact number of guests, without having any leftovers. So pass the potatoes and get preparing.

Family Style is a must follow trick taking game in which players will set their bid - estimated number of guests to feed - and leftover suit - personal trump - by passing cards around the table. Then take or avoid tricks to feed the guests you bid on, without having any leftovers. Score the most points to win the game.

At the beginning of each hand, players will pass three cards and get one of their original cards back to them as their Leftover card. The number on the left over card is their bid, while the suit is their personal trump suit (ex. If the lead player has a Dessert card in front of them, then any Dessert cards would trump the lead suit).

At the end of the hand, players score points for each trick they took, up to their bid, but no more. Extra points are awarded to players that make exactly enough food to feed everyone they planned on (their bid).

At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins.
