In the year 2299, decimated by a devastating global nuclear war, humanity abandoned Old Earth with great haste, seeking refuge in the Alpha Centauri star system. After a long and arduous journey, the human remnants settled on an Earth-like planet orbiting the star Proxima Centauri. Having barely escaped extinction, humankind united with one purpose to build their new home.

Over the centuries that followed, as the human race recovered and regained its strength, the struggle for power also intensified. Soon, humanity separated into six factions, each colonizing their own home world and fighting for dominance and control over the other factions. Seemingly having forgotten the calamity of times past, a full-scale war broke out between the factions. Once again, the human race was suffering destruction at the hands of one another.

In the midst of the raging conflict, whispers and rumours of an unknown threat began to surface, an approaching darkness from the outer reaches of the star system. Just three days ago, our greatest fear was confirmed — we are not alone! A powerful alien race of Centaurian origin has emerged, determined to eradicate the human disease from their home star system.

The fate of humankind hangs in the balance! Will we finally manage to put our blood-stained past behind us and unite to face our new common enemy? Or is the urge to rule and conquer too great to spare us from doom? Before long, these questions will all be answered ... whether we want it or not!

In Exodus Chronicles you take on the role of one of six human factions, fighting for survival and dominance in an empire-building saga of epic proportions! Choose the primary path of your faction and elect the leader you believe is most capable of guiding your faction towards victory. Along the way, you must make clever decisions at every turn as you explore the sectors surrounding your home planet, expand the reach of your budding empire, exploit newly discovered worlds for their resources, and exterminate enemies that stand in your way.

Exodus Chronicles is a modern reimplementation and streamlined redesign of critically acclaimed Exodus: Proxima Centauri and its two expansions Edge of Extinction and Event Horizon. The game features six asymmetrical factions, each offering multiple choices of starting home worlds and faction leaders.

While the loved and praised game experience remains true to its predecessor, Exodus Chronicles is not merely a reprint of Exodus: Proxima Centauri. Each game mechanism has been thoroughly revisited and redesigned with the purpose of improving, enhancing, and streamlining game play.

Game Round
As the active player, place an Action marker on the common action selection board and resolve the associated action. Each opponent may, in turn order, spend a Reaction marker to follow, resolving a limited version of the same action, or pass.

Action Descriptions
Research

Acquire new technologies to improve the combat prowess and defensive abilities of your space ships or to enhance the effects of other actions. While the full technology tree is always available, offering full freedom to choose which technologies to research and in which order, previously acquired technologies allow related technologies to be researched at reduced cost.

Build Ships
Expand your fleet of Transport Ships, Light Fighters, Heavy Fighters, and War Cruisers, each represented by detailed unique miniatures. You will also have the option of building a Capital Ship, representing the pinnacle of your military achievements.

Buy Upgrades
Equip your ships with powerful cannons and shields, install faster drives, or add potent structures to planets under your control.

Mine/Trade
Uncover precious resources on planets in your empire or grow your influence on the trade market, thereby enhancing your economic options.

Harvest
Exploit planets for resources without which your economy will suffer and fall into ruin.

Conquest
Spend empire points to move your fleet, engage in combat in space or on the ground, explore new sectors, or annihilate neighboring planets with devastating nuclear missiles. Each type of cannon and missile is represented by a unique die.

Politics
Trigger political decisions, fueling intrigue between the factions. Claim goal cards and resupply with combat cards.

Refresh
Take back all of your Action markers, activate Home World abilities, repair ship damage, and claim goal cards.
