Eldfall Chronicles: Apocrypha is a dark, narrative-driven fantasy dungeon-crawl board game set in the fantastical world of Calad. The theme centers on a dangerous prospecting mission into the capital of the Sand Kingdoms. Players control a band of four distinct heroes who must descend into the Sealed Archives of the Grand Library to face horrific eldritch threats, navigate shifting depths, and retrieve a collection of profane, forbidden tomes known as the Apocrypha.

The gameplay is designed for 1 to 4 players in solo or cooperative modes, blending traditional role-playing elements with a tactical, tile-based movement system. It relies on an activation-reaction mechanic, meaning enemies controlled by behavior cards immediately react to the heroes' choices and vice versa. Combat is intuitive and fast-paced, utilizing a "Weak Points" system to minimize redundant dice-rolling, alongside unpredictable cards that shift the battlefield conditions dynamically each turn.
This campaign places a much greater emphasis on exploration. Players will have more freedom to venture through the Library, pursue discoveries, change, and uncover the secrets concealed within its shifting depths.

To win the game, players must successfully work as a team to complete specific narrative objectives unique to each quest while surviving combat encounters against hostile creatures. Because Apocrypha features an immersive campaign progression, "Fate" mechanics track player decisions over time, meaning true victory is defined by how you manage your long-term choices, upgrade your characters' skills, and navigate multiple branching paths to unlock one of the game's 30+ possible endings.
