From the Designer:
Dot to Dot is an abstract tile-laying maze game for 2-4 players involving dots, passageways and gates.
Each player has a hand of four tiles.
On each turn, the player plays one tile onto the board and hopes to score points.
Tiles have dots, passageways, and gates on them.
To score, the player looks at the dot on their tile and finds the shortest path to a dot of the same color (there are six different colors).
The player then counts the number of tiles in that path and that's the number of points the player scores.
If there are multiple shortest paths, then the player can choose which path to score.
This may make a difference depending on the gates on the different paths.
If the player scores on a path which has gates on it, the player gets the benefit of those gates.
Yellow gates give the player more points.
Pink gates give the player peeks.
Orange gates give the player tokens.
Each turn, the player plays one tile and then draws one tile.
If the player earned peeks on their turn, then they draw additional tiles equal to the number of peeks earned and take the one they want, putting the rest of the drawn tiles back on top of the draw pile.
What are tokens good for?

The player with the most tokens at the end of the game gets 10 points.
Additionally, in the advanced rules, on any given turn, a player may spend tokens to gain one special power for that turn.
A player may purchase an extra turn, the ability to place a tile on top of another tile, or to place the Dot Cover, which as the name implies, covers one dot as if it were not there, but keeps the passageways intact.
The game ends when all tiles have been played. The player with the most points wins.
