Common Critters is a trick-taking animal card game that challenges players to put their knowledge of fauna and ecology to the test.

Players compete using animals specific to Level II ecoregions, with each player attempting to win tricks based on three key characteristics: active period (diurnal, nocturnal, or other), size (metric weight), and commonness, a gameplay category determined by several ecological and game-specific factors.

Designed with 4th–8th grade biology and zoology students in mind, Common Critters combines science learning with accessible, competitive gameplay that players of all ages can enjoy.
