The Bridges of Budapest is a game about the unification of the cities Buda and Pest in the late-19th Century. These cities sat on either side of the River Danube and only became one when bridges were built across the river. In this game, you will design and build bridges and buildings in the 11 Districts of Budapest, and deliver goods from one side of the Danube to the other. The player who does this most efficiently will win the game.

Players use cards to take actions in specific Districts on the gameboard. The actions allow bridge and building designs to be acquired; building materials to be obtained and supplied to building sites; and barrels to be moved across the city to satisfy contracts.

The player who contributes most to the construction of Budapest will earn the greatest number of Victory Points and hence win the game.
