Ape-Mod-X is a classic, luck-based comparative card game with a twist in the gameplay; The extra trait used in defence.

Ape-Mod-X is a children's/family card game. No strategy is involved - simply the ability to recognise how the cards are ranked/scored, and to follow the procedure of the game.

To play:
Shuffle the cards and split them equally between players. If the cards don't divide evenly, place any spare cards on the table and they become a bonus for the winner of the first round. Hold your cards in front of you so that you can only see the front(character) of the top card.
After deciding who will start, the first player chooses a trait category of the character on their top card that they believe will win them the round and they give/call out that trait category (or the colour it's backed by) and their characters' value for it. E.g. "Wear & Hold - 6" or "Green – 6". The other players must then say their value for that trait, but then also call out and add on the value of their XTRA trait, if any. The XTRA 6th trait is a bonus & can only be used/added in defence - when you are not the 1st player that nominated the trait category called in this round. The player with the highest score wins the round and wins the other player's card(s).
In the event of a trait score tie (when XTRA points included in defense), tied cards are 'frozen out' and left on the table (alongside any beaten cards by a 3rd or 4th player). The players that tied, repeat the round with the same player nominating the trait to play from the next card, and the winner takes all of the cards including any 'frozen'ones. The winner places cards won at the bottom of his stack and then selects/calls a trait and value from their next card on top. If a player’s last card is frozen because of a tie, they automatically lose the game as they have no active cards left. This continues until one player has won all of the cards being used in the game and they are the winner.

There are 3 different decks, each with 50 characters to play with: Couture, Mutants and Mecha. Decks can be combined to include more players or to have a longer game.
