Zug fährt ab is a children's game for practicing the recognition of colors. A locomotive with four passenger cars is placed on the table, with each car assigned a different color. Passenger tiles showing passengers in the four colors, as well as a driver and two conductors, are shuffled face down. Each player draws three tiles and places them face up in front of them.

On their turn, a player rolls a color die and a standard die. The results determine which passenger car a player may place one of their passenger tiles in. Conductors can be used as wild tiles. When the third passenger is placed in a car, the player receives a ticket. The passenger car is then emptied and can be filled again with passengers.

The first player to collect three color cards wins the game.
