As you return from the frontier, your greeted with nothing more than sorrow looks and harrowing stories; rumours of things too horrifying to image - the dead won't stay dead.

With the city gates not locked, it is a fight for survival among the streets of the most powerful city ever seen. Fight amongst your fellow citizens to survive the zombie hordes.

Will you fight soley for yourself, or will you do your sworn duty and rise to the aid of Rome itself?

Game objective

There are two core methods to winning Pax Romana. The first is to survive 28 days (1 turn = 1 day) and the other requires you to defend/fight for the famous sancturies across Rome, if you manage to keep them defended for 28 days you become the new HERO of ROME!

Game Play

Pax Romana has three phases. The first - Each turn you will draw one card and complete its written event. These can range from Opponents, NPCs, Events or explorable locations.

The second - Afterwards, you roll on the supply table for either yourself or the Sancturies. If yourself, you will gain x amount of supplies, but if for the sancturies you must choose which and what split of the resources go where.

The last step - Take control of the Sancturies. THere are four in the game and for as long as they last your character will gain unique benefits such as free food, HP and stat boosts.

Every night these sancturies will be attacked reducing their defence numbers and citizen population within. Once both are at zero that place is lost.

Combat and skill checks are resolved through dice rolls.
