Objective: depending on version
- acting by turns -

version 'Bilder-Orakel': - entering the game easily -
72 images out of the time range 1945 - 2002 are displayed in a 7x8 grid; (6) themes are: consumer products, everyday life, paragons, world affairs, miscellaneous, typical German - each associated with a colour;
(matching) history cards are shuffled; active player turns top card and tries to find the matching image - correct? 1 victory chip (own colour), placed upon image. Winner: first with 6 chips totally or '3 in a row/column/transversal' or '3 of a single theme'.

version Bilder-Dekade: - take out paragon images -
form a 6 x 10 grid;

active player throws 2 dice (decades 40-90 & coloured one - green is missing (paragons) = free choice);
choose a matching image: correct - place your chip -
judging see above;

version Bilder-Rallye': - take out 'consumer products' -
- acting simultaneously/game master alternates -
60 images are placed randomly upon the table; game master reads a history card: all other must place a chip upon an image
(only one per image); correct or wrong - you got rid of a chip; - winner: most correct chips
version Bild-Reporter: - take out 'consumer products' -
- acting simultaneously/game master alternates -
60 images are placed randomly upon the table;
game master describes a quality of an image - all others must place their chips - if a chip is matching: 1 victory point, wrong chips are removed
