Wort Slam turns Stadt-Land-Fluss (Categories) into a real-time race. Letter cards lie face up on the table, and a die roll picks a category from the top category card. Everyone shouts at once: a word in that category starting with one of the open letters. The first correct answer claims the letter card, and rare letters are worth more points.

When a player holds 7 letter cards the round ends and points are counted. The first player to win 3 rounds wins the game. Action cards change the rules mid-round.

There is no hand of cards to shed and no turn order: all players compete simultaneously, so 2 players is as tense as 7.

Wort Slam macht aus Stadt-Land-Fluss ein Wettrennen in Echtzeit. Buchstabenkarten liegen offen auf dem Tisch, und der Würfel bestimmt eine Kategorie auf der obersten Kategoriekarte. Alle rufen gleichzeitig: ein Wort aus der Kategorie, das mit einem der offenen Buchstaben beginnt. Wer zuerst richtig antwortet, nimmt die Buchstabenkarte. Seltene Buchstaben bringen mehr Punkte.

Sobald jemand 7 Buchstabenkarten hat, endet die Runde und die Punkte werden gezählt. Wer zuerst 3 Runden gewinnt, gewinnt das Spiel. Aktionskarten ändern die Regeln mitten in der Runde.

Es gibt keine Handkarten zum Ablegen und keine Reihenfolge: Alle spielen gleichzeitig, deshalb ist eine Partie zu zweit genauso spannend wie zu siebt.
