At the start of each round, 2 unique vowel cards and 6 unique consonant cards are laid out, then revealed simultaneously. Everyone has 30 seconds to write as many words as they can that use the revealed letters; using a letter more than once is allowed. When time is up, players check and score their words, 1 point per letter; the player with the highest total gets one game point.

Then the player with the Bonus Round card (which rotates each round), points to a letter card, thinks of a word starting with that letter, and writes it down. The rest of the players quickly take turns guessing the letter, with the one who guesses it getting one game point. If after 3 times around no one guesses, the player gives a clue and guessing continues.

The first player to 10 game points wins.

There is also a deck of Spice Up cards, and one is revealed each round, affecting how that round is played, e.g. more or less time, additional letter cards, double points for words that include certain letters, handicaps for certain players, team play, etc.

• 75 consonant cards
• 20 vowel cards
• 3 wild cards (shuffled into the consonant deck)
