What started as an average hike has turned dire as you are now lost within the infamous Witherwood Forest. The sun has set, and you’ve become trapped within the supernatural timber. You must act fast to survive the night or be swallowed by the endless Shadows.

You and your friends are on the hunt for three Critical Event tiles that must be activated in order to open the gate and flee the forest. As you explore, when a tile is without a light source or a hiker, you roll for Wither. If you roll a 1, all dark, unmanned tiles are flipped over, requiring rediscovery to get back to the gate.

Each Hiker's state are set at the beginning of the game, making your character different every play. Items can help to buff your weaker stats along the way.

Vicious shadows are waiting around every corner. Will you fight them, or run from them? Fighting could mean damage to your hiker, but running brings you one step closer to the Dead of Night.
