A Seebär und Landratte egy nagyon könnyen tanulható társasjáték, 2 - 4 játékos részére, az átlagos játékidő rövid, csak 30 perc. A társas elsősorban gyerekeknek készült, akár már 5 éves kortól is játszható. A játékmenet erősen épít a kollekció gyűjtés mechanizmusra.

From the manual:

You can see Wild Will’s house on the board. Setting off from the pier, Will and Frank head for the island in search of the sea monster’s treasure. Spinning the pointer will show you how far you may sail during your turn. On the voyage, you collect things that Will and Frank need for their adventure. They need binoculars to see the island a club for fighting off the sea monster, and the treasure map. Once you have collected all the necessary items and land on the island, you may search for the treasure. Watch out for the sea monster, especially for his long tentacles. If he tries to grab you then you have to go all the way back to the starting point.
