Take to the Skies over the battlefields of WW1, and duel for Glory! Oh, and did we mention you're also animals? Yes, that's Camels flying Sopwiths vs Quokkas in Fokkers. They're Wild, and they're Aces!

In Wild Aces, players program their plane's manoeuvres each round by playing action cards, then execute them to outmanoeuvre opponents and score hits while avoiding damage.

All planes start in a row in the middle of the table: Allied planes on the left facing right, Axis on the right facing left, with the centre planes facing each other. Choose your side (supports 1v1, 1v2, or 2v2) and take your plane's deck of 10 action cards. Shuffle 4-6 condition cards (one per round) to determine the sortie length and round modifiers like Tailwind (5 actions instead of 4), Fog (lowest plane takes damage), or Clouds (highest planes are untargetable).

Each round, players deal 6 cards from their action deck. Starting with 2 cards in hand, each turn play one action card from the hand and then draw the next card from their deck.

Planes move on the tableau based on their actions—climbing to higher altitude levels, diving lower, moving forward or backward in the formation, or rotating to face different directions. When a Fire action is played, if any plane is directly in front (or behind for rear guns), that player draws a Strike card.

If they're lucky it may be a Glancing Strike, which takes immediate effect but won't be lasting. Less lucky are Direct Strikes, which permanently enter the action deck, clogging it with dead cards that do nothing when drawn and making them progressively less effective.

The sortie ends after all condition cards are resolved (4-6 rounds). Players count their total Strike cards (both Grazes held and Direct Strikes in their deck). In team play, the team with the fewest combined Strikes wins the sortie.

Additionally, the individual pilot with the fewest Strikes is crowned Ace Pilot—meaning you could win individual glory even if your team loses!

The different planes offer asymmetric abilities - Fokkers excel at manoeuvrability, Sopwith Camels are versatile all-rounders. Bombers sacrifice agility for bombing power and defensive rear guns, and the nippy Spad is great for a strafing run, just watch out for friendly fire!
