Welcome to Revolt! which is a supplement to Wars of the Republic from the Osprey Wargaming Series 29 (OWG 29) written by Eric Farrington.
This is not a stand alone game.

To make use of these scenarios and Lines of Battle lists you will need a copy of the Wars of the Republic rules to take full advantage of these rules.

Wars of the Republic was intended to be a broad tool box that allowed players to use the rules for a variety of conflicts during the time of the Roman Republic. Of course, that covers a lot of time, territory and styles of fighting. Therefore, it is inevitably broad. In fact, most of the historical detail is left to the wargamer themselves to gather from their own sources.

Revolt! Is a supplement intended to flesh out and add detail for the 3rd Servile War. This has been a popular conflict due to the modern media portrayals of the main protagonist; Spartacus! The man and his cause managed to capture the imagination. The rules for Wars of the Republic do cover fielding various armies in the 3rd Servile War but they do not dig very deep into the conflict or how to play it on the table. This supplement intends to fill that void with a much more detailed look at the war so you can play it out on your own tabletops.
