Warlocks & Warlords is luck and skill based battle card game where 2 players test their hand at strategy with the added thrill of a 'luck of the draw' card game. The game consists of 1 deck shared by both players. The aim is to clear your opponents' board of cards and 'Attack' the player(s) to eliminate them and win the game.

The cards for the game are separated into 2 types:

Units
Assists

Units are the core focus of the battle themed gameplay. Each 'normal' Unit has a value between 1 and 10. any Unit of any value can be played onto the board. but on their own they do nothing. Stacking them up in numerical order (1,2,3 or 7,8 for example) converts them into attacking Warriors with their Value being the top number.
Or alternatively, Units of the same numerical value can be stacked up to form Walls that blanket protect your brigade of Warriors.

There are also Special Units with Unique Abilities to help you push forward.

Secondly we have Assists. Cards which are discarded from your hand to aid you in your conquest to victory by having abilities such as drawing cards from the deck, 'destroying' your opponent's Units, or stealing cards from their hand.

The deck is shuffled, decide whose going first, then both players are dealt 5 cards.

Each turn of gameplay follows these 3 Steps or 'Phases':

Preparation - This phase is where players play their Units, use Assists or use the Abilities of on board Special Units.
Warfare - Your typical 'Battle Step'. This Phases is where one player attacks the other to gain control of the board and try to push for the win.
Respite - The turn player draws cards from the deck units they are holding 5 cards then it becomes the next players turn.

A winner is decided when one player clears the other players' board of cards and attacks the player for the Win, or leaves them in a position where they're forced to concede.
