In the Kingdom of Vardos, only one artisan from each caravan may present a gift to the Empress at the great annual Fair—a singular honor granted to the Traveler most admired and enriched by the journey.

In Vardos: A Caravan Tale, players take on the roles of skilled Travelers—artisans, healers, and performers—setting out across the wilds of Vardos toward the Empress’s Fair. Best suited for four players (but fully adaptable for three or five), the caravan must stop at a series of distant Settlements, each with its own needs and preferences.

Each round, Travelers forage for rare Ingredients, serve demanding Customers, and manage the Patience of their hosts. By crafting recipes, upgrading their abilities, and navigating tough decisions as a group, players shape both their own destiny and the route the caravan takes.

Beneath the cooperation lies a quiet rivalry: each Traveler seeks to earn the most coins and renown before the journey’s end. When at least one Traveler has reached 50 coins—the journey ends. The Traveler with the most coins is chosen to present the Empress’s personal gift at the Fair… and wins the game.
