UMS: Modern Age is the first adaptation written using the “core” of UMS, a set of rules originally developed in Italian and then translated into English whose ambition is to cover the conflicts of the contemporary era (2015+) and other modern historical periods as well.

The scale is 28 or 20mm and the base unit is the Squad/Team or the single vehicle. The structures and equipment of the units mirror the ones from armies of NATO, Russian (former Warsaw Pact), Middle-East, Africa and irregular/insurgent ones. D12s are used to resolve firefights and all others checks such as moral and activation ones. The minimum table size is the standard 120x180Cm, but larger ones can be used too!

Clashes between superpowers armies, local conflicts between Warlords, symmetrical or asymmetrical operations, raids … all this can be played on using the guidelines offered by the rulebook.

UMS: Modern Age gives the players rules for managing a ground battle with vehicles, aircrafts, helicopters and artillery supports. Players will also find generic army lists with a point system and scenarios, or missions, to be used for a quick game among friends. This does not take away the possibility for players to being able to create custom scenarios inspired by historical events of the last decade.
