You’re not the manager. You’re the Chairman. Take control of a football club and navigate the world of high-level corporate warfare. Players take on the role of a football club Chairman, responsible for guiding their club through four seasons. Each club begins with a different status and ethos, randomly determined at the start of the game, giving each player a different starting position and presenting different opportunities and challenges.

Each season, players roll the die to move around the board, completing fixtures at Match Day spaces, including league matches, domestic cup matches and Champions League matches. Results contribute to the live league table and gate receipts, while other spaces provide cards that present financial and strategic decisions. At the end of each season, clubs receive income based on their final league position, less player wages, and can choose how to invest their available funds in players, infrastructure and even their manager.

There are multiple paths to building a successful club. Players can focus on sporting success, financial strength or infrastructure, or combine these approaches. Sporting success also increases a club's commercial brand value, with league and cup achievements and final league positions contributing points towards its value at the end of the game. A club that wins the league and even the Champions League may still be worth less than a club that has carefully accumulated wealth and developed its infrastructure.

After four seasons, each club's final value is calculated from its available funds, infrastructure and commercial brand value. The player with the most valuable club wins the game.
