A race around the board to collect five posts for victory! Each different coloured player piece has different abilities or advantages...

Green (AKA The Banker) starts the game with three times the coins as all their opponents. They also collect three coins instead of one each time it lands on the green square.

Yellow (AKA The Shopkeeper) can hop over traps and barricades as if they weren’t there. Each time they land on the yellow square, they get a free trap from the shop.

Blue (AKA The Speedster) starts with one less post to have to grab. It also can teleport from one blue square to another whenever it lands on one.

Purple (AKA The Protected) is immune to all negative Chance cards. Furthermore, every time it lands on the purple square, it can choose what colour it wants that square to be.

Red (AKA The Warden) can always just walk right out of the Pokey anytime they are sent there. No need to stay and try to roll red to get out. Also, immune to punishment when it lands on a Red square.

Orange (AKA The Card Reader) is able to pick up two chance cards each time it lands on the orange square. It can also put cards they don’t want back on the top of the pile for the next player to pick up.

Coloured squares on the board and die match the colours of the player pieces. Players may choose their piece voluntarily but if there is conflict, a roll of the die determines the owner of the piece for the game.

There are two turning board platform that give or take away shortcuts as the game proceeds. Cards of chance, traps and old-fashioned luck add more elements of unpredictability.

Every turn starts with movement based on a die roll and movement to a next square of the colour shown on the die - this can provide strategic options. Other actions that can be performed are Shopping for Items, Playing Chance Cards or Bargaining with other Players.
