Tip
There are 50 cards in total, consisting of five sets of cards numbered 1 through 10. Each player is dealt 3 cards, which are placed face-up in front of them. The remaining cards are placed face-down in a stack on the table. Play proceeds in turns. The top card is drawn from the stack and placed face-up next to it; the number on this card becomes the "target number."
Players must then "make a match" (or "hit the target")—meaning they must use the numbers on their own cards, combined via the four basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), to arrive at the target number. The player whose turn it is must check whether they can reach the target number using the cards in front of them. If they cannot, they say, "I'll draw!"
They then take the top card from the stack, add it to their hand, and check again to see if they can reach the target number. If they still cannot, they say, "Pass!" and the turn passes to the next player. However, if a player is able to reach the target number, they call out, "I've got it!"
The player then announces their calculation aloud and places the cards used—with the card bearing the highest number on top—face-up onto the target number card. This completes the play for that target number, and the number on the card placed on top becomes the new target number! For every card used to reach the target, the player receives a token from the game's supply. A player who successfully reaches the target remains in play; they may draw a new card from the stack and must then check once more if they can reach the current target number again. If he is able to do this, he calls out, "I’ll bet again"; if not, he simply calls out, "Bet!" The game continues in this fashion, moving from player to player. From time to time, the discarded cards—with the exception of the card indicating the bet amount—are placed, unmixed, at the bottom of the deck to replenish it.
Stop
There are 60 cards in total, consisting of five sets of cards numbered 1 through 12. Two or more people can play. Each player contributes an equal number of tokens to the pot and is dealt three cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in a stack. The person who begins the game draws the top card from the stack, places it face up on the table, and announces the number on the card—for example, 9. This announced number is called the "call number." The next player places one of their own cards on top and adds its value to the call number—for example, 7—saying "9 + 7 = 16," or simply "16." After playing a card, the player draws a new card from the stack, as each player must always hold three cards. The number 16 now becomes the new call number. A new call number must always be formed by addition; essentially, the call number is the running sum of all the cards played. This allows the call number to be verified if any doubt arises. Each call number remains valid only until the next one is announced. The game proceeds in turns, with the call number steadily increasing.
From the moment the first call number is established, each player must check whether they can reach the number 100 by using the current call number in combination with the values on their own cards. To do this, they may use any of the four basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and may incorporate one, two, or all three of their cards. Players may also combine the numbers on their own cards to form new values (see examples 2, 3, 4, and 6). However, each card in a player's hand—as well as the current call number—may be used only once per calculation. If a player realizes that they can reach 100 using their cards and the current call number, they must immediately call out "Stop!" Players may call "Stop" at any time, even when it is not their turn. The first person to call "Stop" earns the right to demonstrate how to reach the number 100. By calling "Stop," the current "call number" becomes the "stop number"—meaning it can no longer be increased. The player who calls "Stop" places the cards from their hand that they intend to use for the calculation face-up on the table and proceeds to show the math. Afterward, they place these cards—along with the cards that established the call number—at the bottom of the draw pile (the other players keep their own cards). For every card from their hand used in the calculation, the player who called "Stop" receives one token from the game's pool and draws a replacement card from the pile, ensuring they once again have 3 cards in their hand. They then resume the game by placing a new card from the draw pile face-up on the table to serve as the initial call number. If a player calls "Stop" but is unable to reach the number 100—that is, if their calculation is incorrect—they must pay a penalty of 3 tokens into the game's pool. Play then continues from the point where it was interrupted by the "Stop" call.
