Az Animal Yahtzee egy nagyon könnyen tanulható társasjáték, 2 - 4 játékos részére, az átlagos játékidő rövid, csak 15 perc. A társas elsősorban gyerekeknek készült, akár már 5 éves kortól is játszható. A játékmenet erősen épít a kollekció gyűjtés és a kockadobás mechanizmusokra.

Players in turn try to roll the most valuable animal combinations. During his turn the player has three dice rolls; for the first roll with all five dice; for the second and third roll the players may pick up as many dice as they want and re-roll. Players can also skip the second and third roll, while the value of the combination is noted. When all 12 places are filled, the values are added, the player with the highest total wins.
