Tic-Tac-Dough is one of the 8 games in Dr. Finn's Book of Two-Player Strategy and Word Games. The game consists of one game sheet and requires no other components -- just a pencil for each player.

Tic-Tac-Dough combines the familiar structure of tic-tac-toe with a clever economic twist. Players place Xs and Os across a 3×3 grid of interconnected boards, but each move determines where the next player must play. Every space triggers an action — either collecting baked goods into your inventory or selling them to customers for cash — turning each placement into a strategic decision.

As you gather pastries, cakes, and other treats, you’ll decide when to sell and when to hold back. Customers only buy once, and timing a sale can make the difference between a small payout and a big one. Meanwhile, forming three-in-a-row on a single board earns a valuable cash bonus, adding another layer of tactical play to every turn.

The game ends when a player reaches $25, but final scoring can shift the outcome. Secret baked goods chosen at the start of the game become more valuable at the end, rewarding careful planning.
