The WordWright’s Ledger
Goal:

This is a game where Scrabble meets Math. Accumulate the most points by collecting words using math equations. Letter placement is controlled using simple math operations.

Components:
• 12 magnetic gameboard bases

• 12 magnetic connectors
• 50 magnetic letter tiles

• 4 dry erase score boards
• 1 dry erase marker

Setup:
• Assemble the game board by connecting the magnetic sections, in any configuration and orientation.

• Place and shuffle the letter tiles face down.
• Give each player five tiles as their “rack”.
• Give each player a score card.
• Have the dry erase pen handy.
• Agree upon a target score to win the game.
• Agree upon a minimum word length, default is three letters.

Simultaneous Game Play:
1. Roll both dice.

2. Call out the outcomes of two or more mathematically equations from the two numbers rolled (see chart below).
3. All players look for a space to drop a single letter from their rack of letters that matches one of the outcomes.
4. If a word is made (horizontally or vertically), that player records the point value of the letters on their score card. It is possible to form two words that intersect with a common letter.
5. That player can leave the word’s tiles in place or can remove them back into the draw pile.
6. Once all players have placed their letter, grab a replacement letter from the draw pile.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 until someone hits or exceeds the target score.

WordWright Spaces:
These are special spaces. You may only place a letter on a WordWright space when completing a word of four or more letters. Ignore the math outcome and must remove your word immediately after scoring.

Valid Words:
In this game, just about all words are valid including first names, places and countries. Acronyms are not valid.

FAQ:
• Do I need to place a letter adjacent to an adjacent letter? No. You may place your letter on any space matching a math outcome.

Tips:
• Remove your word when you feel you an opponent can expand your word for more points.
• Keep your word if you feel you can expand it on the next roll.

Optionally, you may use your own set of 50 Scrabble tiles.
