As the forest prepares for its long stillness, two players guide opposing herds of deer through a woodland landscape of fading paths and closing space. This is not a game of conflict, but of positioning, and of gentle shifts that build pressure until nothing more can move.

The Wintering is an elegant, nature-inspired strategy game for two players. Tactile, quiet, and deeply strategic, it unfolds in three distinct phases, each with its own character.

In The Advance, space is open and choices are plentiful. In The Turning, pieces shift in function and the board begins to tighten. And in The Wintering, players face a final test of timing, structure, and control.

The goal is not to eliminate, but to endure. When your opponent can no longer act, winter has arrived and you have won.

With simple rules and rich decision space, The Wintering rewards foresight, timing, and spatial intuition. As winter deepens, so too does the game, until no more paths remain.
