The Last Shelter: Whispers of the Mist is an atmospheric, high-stakes survival game for 1-5 players, set on the fog-shrouded coast of Mazandaran. Following a mysterious climate shift, a deadly mist has engulfed the land, hiding monstrous threats within its depths. In this world, survival follows a brutal logic: Fog means monsters, and Fire means safety.

The game seamlessly blends a tense "I Cut, You Choose" exploration phase with deep Worker Placement and Tableau Building mechanics. Each round begins with a psychological battle during the Explore Phase, where players must divide discovered resources into groups, knowing their rivals will pick first.

Once resources are gathered, players must strategically deploy their survivors across a modular grid to perform vital actions: constructing, hunting, or gathering water. You can bravely face the monsters using dice and tactical Trap Tiles, or spend precious oil to light a Fire Torch—a unique mechanic that allows you to flip action tiles to clear the fog, performing actions safely without triggering a battle.

As you progress, you will build your ultimate refuge through Engine Building; placing Blue Upgrade cards on your player board grants permanent bonuses, from combat advantages to resource efficiency. Every player controls one of 5 highly asymmetric characters—like the Well-Digger or the Hunter—each with unique storage limits and specialized skills that dictate their survival strategy.

The race for survival ends when a player completes the second level of their shelter, but only the one with the most Victory Points will be crowned the ultimate survivor. Can you keep the fires burning, outsmart your rivals, and survive the whispers of the mist?
