The Haze is a sprawling, dystopian city — humanity's last functioning society, and its most desperate undercity. Players take on the role of novice Organizers, hiring Mercenaries to run Operations for the undercity's crime barons. Reputation and results matter more than loyalty, and you'll take any cut out of Operations you can get. This city is only big enough for one of you to stake your claim.

Each round, players assemble Squads of Mercenaries following a "play a card, draw a card" pattern, then send out those Squads to gain Reputation and compete for a share of the undercity's Operations — risky, multi-part jobs that pay out in points or unique Items that boost future Squads. That Reputation lets players hire new Mercenaries from different factions to form even more powerful Squads.
