Use the creatures you collect to work your way up the food chain. Compete for control over habitats to power up your creature's abilities. Progress through each season to unlock new actions and bigger creatures. Discover synergies to score bonus points and collect the most creatures.

The Clearing is a nature-themed deck-building card game with 64 unique creatures from 4 different North American habitats. The game is about collecting creatures by working your way up the food chain.

Every aspect of the game is built to reflect actual animal behavior in nature. There is a compact board that allows players to compete for control by migrating between habitats. Creature abilities become more powerful when played in their preferred habitat, so you'll want to craft your deck around these (and other) synergies. The game is played over 8 rounds, unlocking progressively larger creatures and new player actions as the seasons change.
