In The Cats' Trail, players guide their cats along an ever-changing network of paths toward their favorite destinations. On each turn, a player rearranges the path by swapping a path tile, may play a card from their hand, and then either moves one of their cats forward or places a new cat at a starting position. As the paths change, a route that helps your own cat may also open the way for another player's cat.
When one of your cats reaches a destination, you collect that destination tile and score points based on the destinations you have collected. The game ends after a player collects a specified number of destination tiles, and the player with the most points wins.
