The Associates is a push-your-luck worker placement game for 2-6 players. You and your fellow players are junior lawyers at a law firm that is gearing up for a big trial for an important client. The partners will be bringing one of you to the trial, and the associate chosen will get a huge career boost and a substantial bonus. The catch? Since they can't make up their minds, the partners have decided to select whichever associate bills the most hours to the case.

Turns are taken by placing meeples representing time spent at the office. Associates will need to take on projects from the partners in order to generate billable hours for the firm. The more active projects you have, the more hours you can bill. However, there are other demands on your time (it is Irene's birthday after all, and that cake in the conference room is not going to eat itself) and your resources are limited. Worse, occasionally the partners demand you actually complete something!
