The face of the world has changed. Earthquakes have leveled most of the planet. To survive a new form of Architecture called Tectonics has been developed allowing entire cities to be built on hovering pads to avoid the stress and destruction of the almost constant earthquakes and tectonic shift.

The Goal of Tectonic is to be the first player to build a floating city or colony with a population of 12 or more.

Each turn players perform two separate but unique actions trying to collect random City Tiles. Each of these tiles represents a city structure worth 1-3 points. Players may also play cards to add "resident" tokens to their city to build the total population (and score) of the city.

Several cards allow the players to perform espionage either destroying or stealing city tiles and/or residents. (Remember the cities float now.)

Mixed in are world effect cards like an Earthquake and Armageddon which can change the entire face of the Earth (and the game) once again.

This is a NON collectible game consisting of 35 random city tiles, 10 resident tokens, and 104 full color playing cards.
