These rules are written to be simple and easy to learn. They were crafted specifically for a campaign based the 1911 PLM Insurrection in Baja California, Mexico, but can be used for whatever sort of battles of a similar historic period involving rifle and small arms fire. Our rules are intended for guerrilla raids by small groups, up to medium-scale battles involving “Divisions” representing two hundred combatants or more per side. If you wish, you may use the scenarios we provide in the Scenarios book, and follow along from the liberation of Mexicali in January 1911, to the second battle of Tijuana in May 1911.

In November of 1910, Mexicans across the country rose against the long-time president and despot, Porfirio Díaz. This complex conflict lasted a decade. At its heart, the Revolution was a struggle by regular people--the peasant, worker, and indigenous masses--for the land; a struggle which elevated such legendary champions as Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa against landlords, professional generals, and career politicians. These rules are intended to be simple, fair, and straightforward, as your Mexican rebels fight for the land on your gaming table.
