Squelze is a "flicking" game that combines precision with strategy.
Played on a tabletop, this team game involves flicking wooden pucks as close as possible to a central metal peg.
While its mechanics might bring to mind a sort of tabletop pétanque, Squelze is actually much more than that: a single rule changes everything!
If a puck falls off the table, it is eliminated—not just for the current round, but for the next one as well!
The result? With every turn, you must choose between positioning your own puck or attempting to knock your opponent off the table. The game pieces are designed to allow for everything from magnificent glides to spectacular misses, from sneaky low blows to, above all, great victories.

The icing on the cake is that Squelze is accessible to players of all ages (6 and up), making it your new favorite game for any occasion: family gatherings, game nights with friends, or even team-building events!

Squelze is a team-based game played around a table. Players from both teams are seated in alternating positions around the table. You can play in teams of 2, 3, or even 4 people.

The player starting the game uses a flick of the finger to place their puck as close as possible to the central marker. The player to their left—a member of the opposing team—then has two choices: attempt to place their own puck even better (closer to the central marker, in a more sheltered position, etc.) or try to knock the opposing puck away or off the table. Indeed, if a puck falls off the table, it is set aside and no longer counts for the current round... nor for the following one! This constitutes a significant disadvantage for that player's team. It is a short-lived handicap, however, as out-of-play pucks are reintroduced into the game after one round. But be careful: an offensive strategy carries risks... are you sure your aim is precise enough?

Players continue taking turns in this manner until everyone has played all of their pucks. The round then concludes, and the team with the puck closest to the central marker scores points equal to the number of their pucks positioned closer to the marker than the opposing team's closest puck (much like in pétanque or palet breton).

The next round begins. Each player retrieves the pucks they still have on the table (those that did not fall off during the previous round). Starting with Round 3, any pucks that fell off during the round *prior* to the one just completed are also reintroduced into the game—potentially helping to level the playing field!

A game of Squelze is played to 15 points; the first team to reach this total wins the match! However, you are free to set a different target score for shorter—or longer—games!
