In "Spandau 1780", players direct influential personalities and actively shape the development of the region around historic Spandau between 1780-1880.
The goal of each player is to fill his cabinet of wonders with all kinds of rare works of art and thus compete with the other players.
The player who has collected the most genuine works of art at the end of the game wins.

Spandau 1780 starts with each player selecting a character from 1780 represented on a player board.
The player then decides to play either with the standard income of resources or flips the board to choose the character specific income.

Spandau 1780 is played in turns where player earn coins and goods, play and draw cars as well as expand their influence on the game plan.

Each player is presented with a lot of options to choose from:

Expand influence now to gain more income later?
Invest in common wares or luxury goods?

Participate in a military campaign, gain influence with the crown or examine artworks?

Each round there is an auction of a new piece of art. The winning bet determines who starts the round.
For each genuine piece of art there is also a fake one. If a fake one is exposed, it is removed from the game.
At any time every player has to offer one piece of art to be exchanged by a piece from another player. This is a good way to get rid of fake art. But be aware, if exposed the fake art is removed and another piece of art has to be offered immediately.

As soon as a players art collection reaches twelve, the game ends. And only the player with the most genuine pieces wins in the end.
