The Meibutsu Expansion adds a personal layer of development to Sovereign: Shōgun, letting your Daimyō grow over the course of the game and become more than a commander on the map.

As you play, your Daimyō can gain unique items that influence their stats, shape their strengths, and give them new ways to stand apart from rival leaders. These are not just decorative rewards. They become part of your strategy and part of your ruler’s story.

Meibutsu also introduces honorable duels against famous rebels, lesser enemy Daimyō, and renowned warlords. These clashes bring extra drama to the table, giving your leader moments of risk, glory, and personal ambition beyond the main struggle for Japan.

This expansion is a Gamefound exclusive. During the campaign, it is included for free for backers. In Late Pledge, it will be available as a paid expansion.
