Sons of the Khan is a semi-cooperative board game for four players, each taking on one of Genghis Khan's sons — Jochi, Chagatai, Ögedei, and Tolui - and steering their lineage through the Mongol conquests and into the succession crisis that followed.

Players cooperate to grow the empire while jockeying for the title of Great Khan, as unity gives way to rivalry and the empire eventually splits into four khanates, including the Yuan Dynasty under its first Chinese emperor.
