It is the year 1551, and feudal Japan is in the midst of war - the Sengoku period. Across the land, the ambition and power of five daimyō are rising. Take on the role of one of them, overthrow the old shogunate, and unite Japan under your rule! A new area control game for 1–5 players, the third entry in a series following Bretwalda and Principes.

To unify Japan, players will learn new arts, build mighty structures, collect rice taxes, recruit armies of Samurai and Ashigaru, and of course wage wars. However, the key to victory will be weaving a political network of alliances with previously neutral clans. In this way, players will not control just their own clan, but an entire coalition supporting their cause. Once their power has sufficiently matured, victory can be secured in only one way — by taking control of central Kyoto.
