Savage Steel is a card game of barbarian combat. It's a dialogue in violence. The cards represent the entanglement between fighters—the contest of openings, spacing, timing, and counter-play. Nothing comes for free. Seizing an opportunity also means leaving an opening. To win, you must watch how your opponent plans their attack, deny them the chance, and drive the blade home. All the way to the hilt and straight to the heart.

You win by inflicting damage and reducing your opponent's Vigor to zero. To achieve this, you add cards to your Techniques based on suit. When a Technique has enough cards, it activates, dealing damage at a specific range.

Meanwhile, your opponent is doing the same thing. The game is one of watching what your adversary is keeping and snatching those cards up first. It's a game of standing at just the right range so a hit can't land. It's a game of keeping a backup plan in hand, only to scrap it and improvise something new at just the right moment.
