Radio WWAVVES is a fast-paced, area-control strategy game set in a stylized world of analog broadcasting. Each player takes on the role of a radio company owner competing to dominate the airwaves by transmitting signals across a modular map filled with cities and various terrain types such as sea, forest, mountains, and beaches. The thematic focus revolves around strategic placement and signal propagation, turning a puzzle-like grid into a dynamic battlefield for influence.

The core gameplay consists of simultaneous card selection and token placement. Each player has six double-sided tokens (antennas and emitters) and a hand of terrain cards with initiative values. Antennas broadcast signals to adjacent tiles, while emitters relay signals across five tiles in a chosen direction—creating intricate chains of influence across the map. Terrain cards determine where players can place tokens and in what initiative order they act.

The main goal is to influence cities by covering them with your signal cubes. A city can be influenced by multiple players, but the one with the most cubes at the end scores its full value (shared in case of ties). Bonus points are awarded for reaching all cities at least once. Once all tokens have been placed, scores are tallied based on city control and scoring cards, with the highest total determining the winner.

With its compact 10–20 minute playtime, modular setup for replayability, and simultaneous action system, Radio WWAVVES offers a “crunchy multiplayer puzzle” experience where players must balance initiative, terrain, and signal networks to outsmart opponents in a race for radio supremacy.
